Plan a Visit

Regardless of whether this is your first visit to a church, or you’ve attended a church your whole life, you are very welcome at Willoughby and Northbridge Uniting Church.  We’ve put together a few FAQ’s to make your visit easier.

Our doors are open to everyone, whether you are Christian or not, as we believe that the good news of Jesus is for everyone.  We’d love to help you explore this good news further and our church services are a great place for you to do this.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Our church is not about what you look like or what you wear. Dress in what is comfortable for you.

FIRST TIME VISIT

Our goal is to make you feel welcome. Be sure to chat to our greeters, they will make sure you know where to go. Your family is in good hands!

You are welcome to sit anywhere.  There is no reserved or VIP seating, so as long as no one else is sitting on the seat, you are welcome to sit there!

Each week the contents of the Service may change, but there are some common parts to all of our church services.  There is a time of singing (you can join or simply listen!). We hear the Bible read and preached (the sermon is a short talk reflecting on the Bible reading, and spend some time in prayer to God).

This might be unfamiliar to you and that is okay – you are welcome to just listen in, and nothing is expected of you – you can leave whenever you like, and while you can remain as anonymous as you want to be, we encourage you to introduce yourself to us – we’d love to meet you and connect with you.

CHILDREN

Church is for people of all ages and stages. Kids’ Church takes place during our services on Sundays at 10am with an exciting program for children aged 0–12 years. Kids and adults join us at the start of the service, and then the children go to Kids’ Church after the story time.  At Kids’ Church, children are well cared for and you are welcome to settle your child in or sit in during Kids’ Church and watch what happens.
